WE HEADED TO ABELINE IN JANUARY
The board meetings were held at the Abilene Senior Center which was a wonderful facility and District J were the hosts (with the most). Chapter Presidents, District Chairmen, and Committee Chairmen met in the morning to begin the day after the Executive Board met. The President and CEO of Easter Seals Capper Foundation, Jim Leiker, made a presentation at 10:00 am followed by a social hour. We all headed off for lunch on our own around town to the many unique eating establishments.

SCAVENGER HUNT WAS A SUCCESS AND LOTS OF FUN!
We enjoyed a "DELECIOUS" meal served by Brookville Hotel. Fried Chicken and all the "fixens" YUMMMMMM!!
Some of us took a little time to watch K-State beat West Virginia and trade barbs on whose team to support in Kansas.

Getting back with friends and enjoying each other, sharing time and news, and then (of course) there is always mischief by a few of us to keep us laughing. This board give wonderful leadership opportunities and great fellowship.

Rachael and Pam give us the scoop on what's happening in the ESA Foundation and Easter Seals. We made $1,812 on the scavenger hunt to be divided equally between the two charities.
If you have ever been to a board meeting you know that the microphone and Patsy ALWAYS entertain and challenge us to be the best we can be. We will be having WINE again at State Convention! BUY A CORK!!
Angie tells us there were no claims made for Disaster funds so far and Cindy invites us to State Convention in MAY.
