Saturday began with the Executive Board meeting along with Committee's grouping up to make the plans for the coming year. President Jill Richards met with the Chapter Presidents and District Chairmen. Each told what their theme's and goals were for the 2016 ESA year.
In the absence of the social committee, Char Grelk conducted the social hour and let us know we had a job to do for IC convention in St. Louis. Sharon and Joy always have a ready smile and Jill was busy preparing the chapter presidents for the year.
Leadership: Domestic Violence
Janene Radke gave a workshop on Domestic Violence and ran us through an exercise that demonstrated how frustrating it can be to deal with and seek help as a domestic violence victim. We divided into groups and went through these exercises and came back together as a single group at the end. Janene directed us through some very serious issues. It was a very informative leadership. There was a collection taken up for a Domestic Violence group in Olathe.
We had a wonderful dinner with Shelia's special decorative touch. Centered on the theme of the sea and sea shells and candle light. After the delicious meal we headed off to play CRAZY BINGO with the Disaster Fund and Care & Share Committee's in charge. This event raised $2400 and was split evenly between the two committees fund raising.
